Gracious Father, I thank You for all that You are. For Your majesty, Your beautify, Your goodness and love. Oh, Your incredible love. Even when everything is going wrong may I never forget that You are a loving God. The vastness Your love makes the oceans look like ponds and the skies like trinkets. How beautiful You are, thrice-holy God! Glorious and worthy of all praise! Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty! The earth is filled with His glory! To You be all praise and glory forever and ever!
Lord God, it's in times like this that I need You the most. I beseech you on the behalf of that precious family. Abba, please watch over them. In their weakness, be their strength. In their distress, be their comfort. Oh God, give them the peace that I cannot. Oh, I tremble to even think of their pain. Oh, that I could take it from them. Be with them, oh good God.
There is so much pain in this life. So much suffering. We Adamites have currupted your beautiful creation with sin and death. Father, may we always remember that it is only temporal. For the saint, all suffering shall be replaced with eternal joy. Make that truth especially know that them right now. May there be lavished in the thought of eternity and the peace that comes with it.
Father, you are soverign over the human body. You know my desire and petion. I beg of you to heal that boy's body. To purge him of this tissue. To rid him of it by whatever means necessary. May your hand be at work. May you miraclously heal him that your holy name might be glorified.
Daddy, give the doctors an extra measure of wisdom. May they see things that they would not otherwise see, oh God. May they know how to fix his body and return him to good health. I pray that they would be able to schedule a biobsy quickly and that it would reveal to them a way in which they can successful treat my brother.
But Daddy, I pray of all else that you might be glorified and good might come it it. Oh God, give that family peace. Oh that I could! Give them supernatural comfort. May they feel your presence. May they know that you are good. Dear God...
I don't know what else to say but that your will may be done and may we accept it. Lord, I confess that I fear that your will may not be mine and that troubles me very deeply. Give me a trusting heart. May I faith you more. May I faith that whatever you allow is for the best and that there could be no other way. May your benevolent soveriegnty be my comfort, of gracious God!
Father, I turn know to my own needs. I am a wicked and wreched creature and the most disgusting of all souls. But I am bathed in Your Son's majestic blood and for that I get on my knees and thank you, Most High One! Thank you for saving me. Thanking you for keeping me. Thank you for not casting me out, though I be worthy of such a fate. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! Oh, that my words were sufficent praise! Oh, that I could communicate the depth of your glory. All my attempts are futal. I ask only that it be a sweet savor to you, my God, my Master. How great thou art!
Help, oh Father, to live missionally. I live as a dying man. Thank you for the work you did in the life of your servant, Jonathan Edwards, so many years ago. Thank you for his discipline; for the joy he longed for and is now knowing. Thank you for his example and for bring his example to me. May I too live in light of eternity.
You know my frame, that I get caught up in the easy and the temporal. Father, free from that I pray! May I be bold in my witness for you. May I trust in your Spirit and not my own strength. Free me from fear, oh might God! May I walk in you. Help to know how I might effectively get involved in people's lives. Give me the wisdom I lack that I might know how to meet people. Give me the boldness I lack that I might say the Truth in love to them. Oh God, may souls be saved as the result of my wretched life! I beg this of you!
Daddy, I pray for my family. Be glorified in us, I plead. May we function as you desire. Please be with my father. Give him a vision for this family and wisdom and courage to execute it. Be with my siblings. Instill in them a love for you. May they love your Word. May they read it daily and my the Teacher give them the ability to understand and apply it. Put people and situations in their lives that would draw them to you. May my brothers function as men and as leaders. May they have courage and wisdom to be servant-leaders. May my sisters be men and homekeepers. May you give them the imperishable beautify of a meek and gentle spirit.
God, please be with your beautiful Bride. May she flurish and grow. May people be getting saved in this nation. May the Church function in a way that would bring about the discipleshpi of souls. May Bethany be such a church. May we be missional. May you bring people to us. I pray for all the suffering that is going on at church. Oh Lord, may it build us up and not tear us down. May it cause us to cling to you. I pray that my pastor's vision of a network of churches would be realized. May you soveriegnly put in place a situation that would allow us to do that. May you bless it and may we be fruitful in every good work.
Daddy, I beg for revival in this nation. May the Church be all that you intend it to be. Be moving in the hearts of people to function as you would have them to function. To be driven by your love. May it start with me, oh God. May it start with Bethany. May big and glorious things happen as a result of faithfulness at Bethany.
Father God, thank you for hearing my prayers. thank you for allowing me to come before you. I am wicked and you are holy. But you long for me and love me with an everlasting love. Oh, what a puzzlingly beautiful thing! Dear God, I love you because you first loved me. Fill me with you agape, I beg.
All these things I pray, not in my own name, but in the highly exalted name of Jesus Christ at which every kne shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father.
Amen! May it come to pass!
